Without healing his childhood he allows himself to marry and be in a position where he is responsible for caring for and protecting children. He believes he doesn’t owe them anything, he was abused as well so, so what? He has no regard for Mrs. Reynolds and consistently dismisses her. His demeanour is bubbly and likeable, quite unlike his wife’s, who is abrupt and dominating. Trickster. Manipulator.
